He gave me a better price than anyone else offered on my sterlingsilver flatware. Very nice polite gentleman. With a cynical side I didn't get to see much of

Silver City exceeded my expectations with a Christmas miracle. I needed a ring resized within a week’s time. Not only was the task completed, the work was flawless. Thank you All.

Came here today on Saturday. 1130am. Google says open until 3pm. Gates are open, cars in lot, but building is closed up with shutters. For someone who works 9-5 on weekdays its difficult for me to take time to purchase all my gold and silver during their weekday hours. Really disappointed. I'll just continue going to Bob's Coins even tho its further away.

New to area. James and the entire staff are super friendly and very polite. Highly recommend Silver City. And FYI. If you are selling to them. The check has always cleared with zero issues. Again they are my go to place for all my gold and jewelry needs. Tell them Todd sent you

Best place jewelry and repair store in town. I highly recommended them for all of your jewelry needs and repairs. The jeweler does a wonderful job resizing rings along with replacing a lost diamond and lost earring back . There work is top notch with a very speedy turn around time . There jewelry selection is very vast along with tons of unbelievable items when it comes to coins and bullion

Extremely Unprofessional & Disrespectful Customer Service "I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Silver City Stamp & Coin Co. today. I called to settle a high-value transaction involving over 115 grams of gold. Earlier, I had been given a quote around $6,000, which I knew was significantly below the current market melt value. When I called back to verify the math and ask for a fresh quote based on today’s record-high gold prices, the representative’s behavior was shocking. Instead of acting like a professional business owner, the man was extremely rude. He told me he ‘didn't have time to do this all day’ and literally hung up in my face while I was explaining the specific weights I had. As a serious seller with nearly $10,000 worth of gold, I expect a basic level of courtesy. If a shop is 'too busy' to properly value a bulk collection and treats potential clients with this much hostility, they clearly don't need the business. I will be taking my gold to a refinery or a professional dealer that actually understands customer service and fair market pricing. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect

I was buzzed in and initially greeted very warmly by a woman behind the glass. I brought in some stamps and a couple pieces of sterling and 87% silver to sell or trade. I was told they no longer deal in stamps, which is understandable and not something I hold against them. I was also told they are not currently buying sterling silver, which is fine as well, given that many refiners aren’t taking it right now. I then politely asked if they had any silver items for sale under spot. A male employee behind the counter responded, “Why would we have anything under spot?” I simply said okay, but the response was pretty telling. With silver at $94.72 at the time of this visit, I know for a fact that other local coin shops—one in Spring Hill today, for example—are selling generic rounds a few dollars back of spot in 10 oz and 20 oz quantities. Many dealers are also discounting 90% silver since refiners aren’t taking it, creating a win/win for buyers and sellers. It felt as though my question itself was somehow out of line. They did have full display cases of numismatic coins and a decent overall selection. Several silver items were priced $5–$10 over spot, which isn’t unreasonable, but some of the $10-over items weren’t anything special or particularly desirable. While making small talk with another gentleman at the silver counter, I asked if he attended the recent Orlando FUN Show (one of the largest shows in recent years). His response was, “Why would I go there and compete with other dealers when I can stay here and be the only game in town?” That answer said a lot. It was clear he views other dealers purely as competition and has little interest in broader market engagement. I was still willing to buy something, but between the overall attitude and the interactions, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll happily continue doing business elsewhere, like Bob’s Coins.
