I visited the shop to sell a shotgun I no longer shoot. The shop worked out the details with me in advance by email in a very courteous and professional manner. Stephanie quoted a fair price and the transaction was completed. Overall a great experience.
It is not often that I write reviews for business’s however I had to say something about my experience with Sarasota Gun Company. I purchased a firearm from them at the Miami gun show. That firearm had a red dot sight on it. When I returned home and was going through things I found out the sight would not turn on, checked the battery and all that. I reached out to them reguarding the issue and they immediately sent me a return label and stated that they would make it right. The reason I am writing this review is because every other time I have purchased a red dot the seller was sure to let me know that there are no exchanges or warranties with them, only with the manufacture. The Sarasota Gun Company was eager to make sure I was a pleased customer and happy to take care of the issue for me keep up the good work.
Everytime we go by, the front door is locked and staff are "gone for vacation". Seems to have very inconsistent hours... Website is also not working.
This shop is PACKED with tons of guns and ammo! Great people to work with.
Bought tools there recently. This is a great place to look for bargains at a reasonable price! So Many Pawn Shops have their prices on goods set so high that it isn't worth trying to negotiate. You will will like Rod and his friendly, low pressure store!
I can’t say enough of how pleased I was with this store! The gun I purchased shoots flawlessly and my groupings were tight! I hadn’t shot in about 20 years so I thought it was going to be a learning curve refresher but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff treated me very well and went over the features of the firearm. Highly recommend this store!!
Captain Bill’s is a awesome pawn shop, with excellent selection and great prices. I have traveled here all the way from Tampa twice, because I appreciate their professional, personable, respectful service! Thank you for making my transactions such a pleasure.
First impressions walking in weren’t promising but with money in our pocket ready to buy something, we gave it a shot. I’ve never seen a pawn shop more cluttered, hardly any space to walk around. With interior flaws aside, the customer service was just about non-existent. We tried to ask questions about a product that we were ready to purchase and received no eye contact, rude responses because the guy behind the desk was more worried about talking to his friends than making an actual sale. We gladly left and took our purchase elsewhere, where they were happy to help us. I wouldn’t spend money here even if I was begged to. Hopefully in time they will learn better customer service skills until then, I stand by my review.
Very happy to have stopped by here on my way home. I was met with pleasant staff and found good deals. I'll be coming here for any ammo, new purchases of tools, and my gunsmithing needs. My new favorite local 2A shop. If they get things in for reloading it would be 6/5 stars. 👍
