Ive been dealing with Bill(owner) and Monique for over a decade and they are always fair and reasonable. They are not looking to make a killing on every purchase or sale. Ft Lauderdale rare coins has thousands of coins in stock and mostly rely on repeat business and great word of mouth spread by their clients like me. Ive been a licensed, insured dealer for over a decade and Ft Lauderdale rare coins is MY go to dealer when selling gold and silver for the last decade. You WILL get the fairest price when selling to them. The reason they can offer a great price is because they have a huge clientele for buying and selling. You cant go wrong dealing with them! G

Very respectful in the air. I had a good experience here. I was able to sell and buy without being put down by the staff.

Sold me a gold coin for over $3000 that is not real!! I showed it to a friend who said it didn't look real. So I took it to another shop where they tested it with sigma machine and sure enough it was only gold plated not solid gold as advertised. I went back to return this fake coin but he said he wouldn't take it back and it was my fault for not having asked him to verify it in front of me before leaving the store. So now I'm out 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS AND HAVE NO GOLD!! Do not get ripped off like I did just go to literally anyone else.

Fraud/Scam/Ripoff Business! Went in to purchase silver bullion, they attempted to unlawfully charge 7% Tax, in clear violation of Florida Law.. Lie #1 'Non USA product requires tax'.. Lie #2 'Oh, well it's only if you buy over $500'.. Lie #3 'We can't take it from you.. We've never been notified..' None of these things are true.. Showed them the Florida Dept Of Revenue tax memo(see pic)..they still refused.. The lady became upset, made various remarks such as 'We've been here 50 years', 'we know what we're doing', 'we can't take something off the internet'.. Asked her to look it up on her own computer.. She refused again.. Adios, Pinocchio πŸ€₯

They were polite but refused to test silver bars. I asked if they could weigh it on a digital scale or test with a magnet and the employee refused. She stated β€œwe’ve been in business over 50 years, if you don’t trust us then you can go somewhere else or go online to our eBay and compare prices” well, that sounds very sketchy. You missed out on a sale and possibly long time customer because you didn’t feel like testing or building trust? Reviews here are concerning. ChatGPT says to run away, other reputable dealers have no problem building trust.

GG -- I visited this coin store a couple of days before Christmas (2025). I had 72 Liberty half dollars and 35 Barber dimes that I asked to be appraised. The woman who I spoke with said I would be very happy because the price of silver had increased to over $70 per ounce, an unprecedented surge in recent weeks. Her appraisal for my coins was $200 -- just over 5 times their face value of $39.50. I contacted two other coin dealers the same day about my coins. One offered me 30 times face value ($1,185) and the other dealer offered me 35 times their face value (just under $1,400). Obviously the difference in these estimates is so dramatic that initially I thought this might be an accounting error. However, the woman who did the appraisal was very careful in counting all my coins and in doing the calculations by machine, so this seems unlikely. I tried to call the woman back on two different days to question this initial estimate, but she was unavailable to come to the phone. This store has been in business for a number of years, but based on my bad experience with this transaction and much fairer price quotes from other dealers, I will not do business there again.
