I highly recommend American Coin and Currency since we found them to be honest, easy to work with, knowledgeable, and comfortable. John made the experience pleasurable and instilled us with a great feeling of comfort and ease. We had some coins and didn't know what we had. We made an appointment and brought a sample of the collection. He spent a good amount of time with us and looked at the coins. He knew what many were but was quite honest about the ones he wasn't sure of. He did some research when possible and follow up with us when more in depth research was required. He was very knowledgeable and explained clearly what we had, what had just face value, and what had numismatic or precious metal value and why. We previously had a few offers on some of the coins and he even let us know when a couple of the offers were better than what he could offer. In addition to being knowledgeable and a good teacher, he was also very personable. He made the experience quite enjoyable, and we're glad that we met him. We highly recommend John for sales and purchases of any coins.
