WARNING! Be very very very careful of this business. My wife took her late mother’s ring for a diamond replacement, 1) No ticket was provided, only name written down. Red Flag #1 2) The persons attitude and demeanor when entering the store, zero acknowledgement of the customer. The young gentleman who I’m assuming is the son, was polite and smiled. Red Flag #2 3) The old man at the store replaced the diamond but failed to secure it with prongs which were broken. Red Flag #3. 4) No GIA cert for the replacement diamond was provided, could have been a lab grown diamond for all we know. Red Flag #4. 5) Less than 24 hours, the replaced diamond was already lost/fallen off due to the ultra poor work that had been conducted by Akar. Red Flag #5. 6) My wife called and spoke with the old man, only to receive abuse and dead dial tone on the other end. He simply hung up. Red Flag #6. Take this as a warning, there are so many other honest and polite companies that can help with your repairs. Why subject yourselves to dishonest folks.
Called about selling some silver, wouldn’t tell me what price they were paying and insisted they pay “top dollar” finally got them to quote me at over $20 under spot, clearly trying to rip off uninformed buyers, beware if you want to sell any metals here.
DO NOT use these people! They are dishonest! They charged me for a stone that felt off my ring, I got my ring back with a stone back, but less than 24 hours later the stone felt again, so I called to ask for refund since they didn’t even bother to put a prong to fix the stone (hence the reason it felt again) and the owner said he would not refund me, was very rude and ranged the phone on my face. They did not do a good job putting a prong back to fix the stone, hence the reason. I lost the stone again AND they did not want to refund me, plus were rude and no solution. I’m super disappointed and will take the ring somewhere else as I would not go back there even for free. They might still the other stones I have in my ring and replace them for fake ones…. Not honest people.
