Staff was great, great selection. Prices are fair-ish. Trade in value is a little on the low side but I get it. Overall a very welcoming store with great customer service and great people working. Very knowledgeable, maybe a little condescending over the phone but again they're busy as heck so I get it.

Staff was rude and unprofessional. There are better gun stores around that won’t have condescending employees treat you like cattle on a busy day. I think their logo of “Connecticut's Premier Gun Store” is sad at most. Update: The procedure for purchasing a firearm and having the customer wait in a room instead of allowing them to shop around is not pleasant at all. Staff was extremely rude making it very clear that “the chair in the front is only for signing.” God forbid if you had a question on the form the staff will ridicule you in front of everyone in the waiting area (myself included). Only one person in the entire store apparently knew how to compete purchases of firearms in that waiting area. Every question or answer I provided to a member of that store was met with a sarcastic reply. For example, when completing my purchase I saw the employee looking for specs on my specific firearm, when I went to give him the paperwork for it instead of saying thanks he replied “this would have helpful if you gave it to me sooner.” I tried to have a positive experience but it seemed an impossible feat.

I purchased a revolver on one of Gun Stores auction sites/online suppliers. The Gun store is also my local listed FFL. After getting confirmation of my purchase, I immediately called The Gun Store because this was my first online purchase of a firearm. I was immediately transferred to Wayne. He was knowledgeable and explained the whole process to me plus tons of extra information for any future purchases. Within hours of being notified for the delivery of my revolver 2 business days later I received a phone call saying “it’s ready for pick up”. Next day, Bobby on the floor was excellent. Took care of what I came in for and referred me to Matt K. Matt was top notch during the transfer process and answered a bunch of questions for me that he did not have to answer. If you don’t ask questions you can break the law in this state without even knowing it. Most shops won’t give you the time of day. Go in and support these small businesses but go in with an open mind. If it’s swamped with eager customers just lower your standards a tad. Happy with my purchase and will return.

Left the gun store couple of hours ago and I am very happy with my purchase. Pete went above and beyond to take care of me and I had my two year-old acting up as I was trying to buy to firearms.. Pete was very patient and respectful and he built me an AR in a very short time and I’m very very happy with it. I would highly suggest you talk to Pete. He was very knowledgeable and he can guide you to exactly what you need, Going next week to see Pete again for my second build and it won't be my last. 🍻

Amazing staff, super friendly, super knowledgeable. Everyone was very pleasant and more than willing to talk about their guns. Huge selection of everything you need.
