I’ve been back twice to see Jake who’s been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the coin collections and random coins I brought to Sloat. I highly recommend them!

This was the first reputable/honest place I have come across. I would continue to do business with them in the future! Super friendly and go off current market value which is amazing !

I came to Sam Sloat Coins today for the first time with some items that I had. I made my appointment, and met with Christine. She was really very thorough, and obviously knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable with my transaction. I highly recommend Sam Sloat Coins as the place the go when you’re looking for a trustworthy business to value your coins and gold.

My experience with this company, specifically Andrew, started with an email where I sent over my inventory spreadsheet, followed by a call. Andrew was straightforward, answered all my questions, and I felt absolutely no sales pressure. The shop itself is very professional and welcoming—definitely not like visiting a pawnshop. Andrew was transparent about how they determine evaluations and took the time to explain everything patiently. In the end, I felt I received a fair price for the coins I sold. I had looked into selling on eBay, but after fees and other costs, there really isn’t much left for the seller—so this was a much better option. The only minor downside was the parking. The lot is angled, and I had some trouble getting out because an oversized truck was parked nearby. I ended up backing out without issue, but fair warning for anyone who isn’t great at parking! Overall, a professional, honest, and smooth experience—I’d highly recommend.

I would rate higher if I could. Best silver seller in CT, charged $2.00 over spot for generic bullion silver 10 oz bars at the top of the hype on 02/07/2026. ($2.50 over spot for 1oz rounds). AJC was the name of the clerk on my receipt and he was great: efficient, well spoken, and answered all of my questions. Appointment only which is fine because I wouldn’t want to compromise on the customer service with overwhelming volume. Very underrated seller here and will be returning next silver price dip
