The staff is always so friendly. They have a great variety of items for all different occasions. They do lots of different sales and events throughout the year. They help promote other small businesses too! Definitely a hidden gem that should not be hidden!!
If you need to get a unique gift for someone, no matter who they might be and no matter how big or small the gift, this seems to be the place to go! The vast array of items for sale is truly outstanding. I could not visit in person, but their online web store is fantastic. Do you know what's even better than that? Doctor Ryan who packaged my order and shipped it to me with care and utmost attention. He made sure that each item was sealed and secure during shipment. He even handwrote a sweet note on the shipping manifest! A sincere human connection exists between this place and their customers. I hope to visit one day in-person; and maybe, if I'm lucky, I can see the wonderful staff themselves.
My SIL and I first shopped here a few years ago, after driving around in search of some local shops. It has quickly become a place that I make it a point to go to every time I visit. The staff is attentive, answering any questions I have, while not being overbearing. I always find something to bring home for myself, along with gifts for Christmas, birthdays, or whatever. And aside from a unique, fun store, the owner/staff are incredibly community-oriented; running fun specials for back-to-school donations, and donating money from bottled water purchased to another local cause. Local doesn't end at home, and it certainly doesn't end after you step foot outside the Mellow Monkey.
This place is absolutely amazing and has everything and anything you could want for gift-giving or just for yourself. Unique gifts for any and all occasions or a special decorating item for your own home, Mellow Monkey has something for everyone! I go in regularly for my beach house special suntan lotion scented candle
