I’ve known Bill for 25 years and have always found him honest and trustworthy. He recently took a two week vacation to Ireland. That’s the only time off I’ve ever seen him take. If you want an intelligent conversation about coins, jewelry, Mercedes, Corvettes, then this is your man!!!
Fun little place, run by a very nice guy. Lots of coins, jewelry, and pendants. I have been buying Pandora beads here, but it is 4x more expensive for them VS some of the Pawn shops I have visited. UPDATE: This time I was looking for small Diamond stud earrings, I checked a few places and found some here for half the cost of a comparable pair at a popular, expensive, local jewelry store. Update 2: I'm shopping around trying to sell a few items. I took them to 3 places before I came here. He offered me about HALF of what the Pawn shops and Jewelry store offered. Also, I came back for another watch battery replacement. The first watch, I was having trouble opening, he got it open, changed the battery, cost $7. The second watch I was able to open, just needed a battery. He quoted me $20 to install the battery. I went to my local "General Dollar" store, bought a 2pk for $7+ and replaced the battery myself. Turned out the watch didn't work. Glad I didn't spend the $20. I'm reducing my stars from 4 to 2. I don't know what's going on here, but this location is no longer a viable option for me.
I don't know the name of the owner of this store, but he activity attempted to rip us off in multiple ways. From drastically overvaluing the items he had for sale and stating that he charges a 12.5% fee for any credit card use, I'm glad we didn't spend any money here. I've never been charged more than 3% for credit card use in my life, and I wasn't about to get scammed for extra money by this guy. The door at this business is kept locked which is fair for a jewelry store. But we had to knock multiple times before the guy there came to the door. Once he let us in, the man didn't even say hello or welcome, he just looked at us. Lastly, the area of store behind the counter was an absolute mess, with a TV on that was far, far too loud.
Guy was rude & low balled me on a coin, when I told him how much I wanted he replied “noway in hell will you find anyone to pay that price.” I left & drove up the street & was offered 2x as much for the same coin & got an extra 120$ on top of what I wanted originally for the coin. Thank god I didn’t sell it to this guy he was rude & tried to rip me off.
The owner of this store has a horrible attitude, disrespectful when asking questions about his items. The old man seems to have a temper that is easily triggered by customer presence. Definitely won’t be going back anytime soon as he doesn’t seem to show any interest in anything that goes through the door and in a way tells people to kick rocks. Called him regarding what he pays for gold and then told me “I would have to see it” then hung up on me while I was asking another question. He needs manners. Please be aware of this shop owner and take business somewhere else. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
