You always go into these establishments cautious, esp if your selling something. You should knw the value of what your selling so your not taken advantage of. Patrick at Brookside Pawn, is very honest, he's not out to take advantage of a seller, esp if the seller is uninformed of what they're selling. Connecticut is a small area to live and work in, u cant expect to have a good name and repeat customers if your don't treat them right, so if u want your transactions to go smoothly and get what you think is a fair or even better then fair deal, then dont hesitate to take a ride to Brookside, def worth the drive, dont bother with any of the other shops you see, most will take what they want, not even say hello, and send u on your way feeling regretful that u didn't go to Brookside in the first place,

These guys are very helpful, respectful, and polite. I called a dozen pawn shops in the area and none of them had the jewelry I wanted, nobody had offered to help me look at all. I'm glad that I called brookside and even though they didn't have the item on hand, they had a large catalog of new jewelry on hand and ordered it for me right away and in just a few days I had my studs. They gave me a SMOKING deal as well. They even peirced my ears for me too at an outstanding price and did a stellar job! They are extremely honest and genuinely good hearted people, I wish there were more like them. They run a very good business here and I'm throughly impressed. I would recommend anybody to go here and even though it's a little out of my way, I won't be going to any other pawn shop in the future! I will swear by Brookside Pawn!

These guys were great to meet and they worked with me as if I was already an existing customer of theirs. If you need a loan on an item bring it into them and they will give you a great deal. I will definitely stay with them for now on. They listened to me and took really good care of me.

1) they dont honor the military lending act (which is illegal btw) 2) the hours are a suggestion, the staff show up when they want to 3) they gave me the wrong ring back 4) when I came back to get the correct ring the staff member/owner gave me a free bracelet. I initially took it but when I got to my car I decided something about it felt off. 5) tried returning the bracelet but a staff member wouldn't let me in the building because her daughter was running around the store A+ establishment
