While shopping for stamp collecting supplies for a Christmas gift for my 10-year-old granddaughter, I spoke with Ron of US Stamp Company. He was happy to hear of a potential young stamp collector and offered to put together something. It turns out it was the perfect gift for her. Ron is a professional, and it seems most of his customers are "high end" collectors. He is a pleasant and caring person.

I used US Stamp & Coin Co. to sell part of my collection of gold and silver bullion coins. An initial phone call was promptly returned by Ron Umile. I emailed him an inventory of the items I wished to sell, and we set up an appointment for a couple days later at his Emeryville location. At the appointed time, Ron quickly evaluated my items, and he gave me an estimate of the expected proceeds. After signing a “contract” for the sale, l left the items with him. Several days later, a check proceeds arrived. The entire process was a pleasure; Ron was knowledgeable, friendly and easy to communicate with. I would certainly recommend US Stamp & Coin Co. to anyone seeking a similar service.

Absolutely horrible professionalism. No return emails or phone calls, just for them to immediately state they looked at my collection and didn’t see anything worth while - when I called again a week later. Multiple excuses. I was planning on paying for appraisal’s, and if it went smoothly I have many other collectibles (currency, coins, memorabilia, etc.) that I would have paid them to view and authenticate. I even considered paying for them to visit my home in Michigan because of my large collection of items, besides the couple of photo’s of glimpses into my stamp collection. For someone who is invested and excited about the hobby of collecting, this was a very, very poor experience. If you can’t treat each customer or client with consistency maybe reconsider your business plan.

I foolishly invested 50K in another gold/silver company who sold me crap metals and pocketed my profits. Ron gave the metals an accurate appraisal (free of charge!) and actually reached out to the crooked company on my behalf. He's a dying breed and a stand up guy who I trust completely w my $. From now on, I'll be going to the United States Stamp Company for all my gold & silver needs.

Ron and everyone in his office were very polite and helpful. I had emailed Ron and described my collection and told him of the coins that I knew were valuable. Ron examined my entire coin collection very carefully. I appreciated his thoroughness in considering all my coins. He offered me an amount that I thought was very fair and he purchased my entire collection. Communication by email was very good. Ron was always prompt in replying. I highly recommend his services.
