I wanted to provide a more modern review since there hasn’t been many recently. I called in to schedule a viewing and the owner said that his business is only wholesale dealing now and no longer as much about trading collecting or small scale buy/sell. He was very kind and offered me the name and phone number of a referral shop in the city that I’ll check out in the future. But for most intents and purposes it seems his business model has shifted from consumer to wholesale and so there isn’t so much of a storefront or shop or collection to view any more.

I brought in my coins collection, mainly French/European and I got a good price for it knowing it’s condition. Konstantin is fair, easy, and extremely knowledgeable about coins. I will definitely be back with my stamps collection!

After being given inadequate offer 2 blocks away. I contacted Robert R.Johnson Coin & Stamp. I received an offer +$300- more than previous. An honest businessman. Who else uses a glass desk, no computer, he just knows.

He explained his analysis of the materials I brought which aligned with another assessment I received a few years ago. This time I sold the lot to him. I would definitely return should I unearth more items. An appointment is required, so call or email in advance to make one.

I’d stay away. I called him on the phone inquiring about what percentage of spot they pay, and he wouldn’t give me a clear answer. I understand in hand examination is needed, but for scrap silver, percentage bids are present for almost every professional. The person answering the phone was also very rude. Stay away, there are much better options in San Francisco.
