My parents owned a competitor businesses within a 30 minute drive. The Bass family (Owners of Encinitas Coin & Jewelry) have always maintained a stellar reputation for honesty and integrity.

This place doesn't do coins, like another review mentioned. I imagine the owner will respond explaining why this is the case, that doesn't change the fact that coin is the first half of the part of your name describing your business. I came in to have a coin authenticated but was told they couldn't help me.

to anyone reading this, be educated and understand the value of your gold before going, I got super lowballed. *I went in and they offered me 42% the value of my gold, or $515 for 18.4 grams of 10K gold when gold scrap price is $1230 for 18.4 grams of 10k gold according to price per ounce today. although she was nice and took time out of her day to look at both my rings and at least offered something. *After reading your response, I still think a better offer could be made.*

NOT a coin shop. They have about 30 silver coins in one tray (plus some floaters) tucked into the corner of one single display case. No coin knowledge and prices that don't appeal to coin collectors. Only a review on this shop as a "coin" business, which headlines their sign. Based on reviews, the jewelry customers seem to appreciate the shop.

This place is great! The owners are knowledgeable about their product. They are patient and know that picking a piece of jewelry isn’t always an easy task if it’s something you would like to wear every day. They have assisted with replacing missing diamonds and fixing settings. Finding unique gold pendents. I have had multiple rings resized. My fiancé and I have even purchased my engagement and his wedding ring here. If you are looking for a jewelry purchasing experience that is personal stop by!

If you want amazing prices and service, this is the place to go! They have a large variety of beautiful vintage jewelry. I love all the pieces I have purchased from them. They are a long time family business that takes care of their customers and it shows.

Beautiful selection of rings and earrings at great prices - have purchased both. Last month they helped me select 7 rings on behalf of future son-in-law for daughter’s wedding ring. Her best friends went with her on a surprise trip to choose her favorite one. The owners were very helpful in setting this surprise up. Sizing rings very reasonable. Have also sold gold and silver jewelry at fair prices. Very honest people, highly recommend!

A few years ago, I brought some silver coins in to get a valuation, which they gladly did for me. A week or two later, after doing some research, I brought the coins back in to sell to them and was quite surprised and pleased that they checked the current silver price and the coins were worth more than when they had initially valued them. They paid me the higher valuation! I did not expect that and I applaud them for their honesty as I was prepared to accept the lower valuation without question.
