The Diablo Numismatic Society is the oldest coin collecting club in Contra Costa County, established in 1960 and serving over 70 dedicated numismatic enthusiasts. Awesome club and awesome people. DO NOT start collecting coins before joining a club ( this one is preferred) or you WILL get scammed. Even reputable dealers will sell you a cleaned coin... it happened to me. There is so much to know that you really need a "team of educators" to steer you through the jungle of coin collecting. ( no compensations, in the way of homemade cookies and cold beverages, were provided for my review.)
