Came here and will NEVER come again. Was “helped” by an employee called Justin. He immensely rude and practically rushed me out of the store. He lowballed my cards like hell and wouldn’t even entertain the idea of a normal pricing.

This place has a great selection. Seriously probably second to the Tucson location . The new storefront is really nice too! Staff is friendly each time I come in and the wait is never long to get your singles! Been coming for years now and still one of the top shops in my opinion.

Best place to learn, play, and trade this side of the valley. Simple as that.

used to come here somewhat frequently, and always made a purchase when I went to support local. prices were good enough, staff is friendly. but today for the prismatic evolutions drop, they were charging $150 a box, well above market and 3x MSRP! I was waiting outside before opening hours with a small queue, but when we saw the pricing, everyone in line left. I and my friends and family won't be coming back, and I advise everyone to stay away. pure greed from this store! extremely disappointing, considering for the last pokemon release I had a great experience and even paid slightly under MSRP for the equivalent product.

- Excellent Magic: The Gathering selection, lots of trading card options, box sets, and rare singles. - Small location, think hole in the wall (looking at Google pictures it may have been a bigger location in the past? - unsure honestly). - Lots of great retro games. Lots of Sega Genesis games/including other retro systems, great vintage game selection. Trading card boxes for storage, sleeves, hard cases, anything you would need for trading cards. There was a decent sized area for tabletop/trading card gaming. The one thing I didn't like was when I mentioned I went to other gaming stores in the valley one of the employees mentioned a bad experience about a competitor who I had just visited. However a different employee talked highly of a couple other competitors so it was an interesting hot-take, probably shouldn't be talking down on other local gaming stores is my two cents there. Desert Sky Games does trading cards really well, specifically they had an amazing selection of Magic cards.

I love the selection of older packs/loose packs in general. But my GOODNESS they overcharge on singles. Most places just go off market value, these guys seem to add another 20-30 percent. 280$ for a $200 Espeon SIR sheesh. Good staff, it’s not their fault, still a good selection. Sealed stuff is a bit over market too, usually.

Staff there are so amazing. I came having no idea what cards to buys as a gift for my boyfriend and Lauren was so helpful. She helped me picked out a magic box that he would. Very friendly staff, huge selection of different types of cards and a clean store. My experience there was wonderful.

Walked into Amazing Discoveries Chandler around 7:50 PM tonight with the simple intention of browsing the bulk MTG bins and spending some money. Nothing disruptive. Nothing unusual. Just a customer doing customer things. Fast forward to 9:00 PM. There are still about 20 people in the store. Tables full. Folks hanging out, chatting, playing, very clearly not in a rush to leave. That’s when I’m singled out and told I need to leave because the store is closed. Let me make sure I understand this correctly. The store is “closed,” yet a large group of regulars can continue to sit inside and kick it, while I, someone actively browsing and prepared to buy, am shown the door? That makes absolutely no sense. Yes, I’ll own my part. Most other game shops I frequent are open until 10:00 PM, so that’s on me for not double checking the closing time. Fine. But closing time should apply to everyone, not just the person who isn’t part of the in crowd. What really sealed it was the attitude. The disrespect from both the crowd and the staff was next level. No courtesy, no explanation that made any logical sense, just a very clear message that if you’re not a regular glued to a table, you don’t matter. I’ve never experienced this at other shops. When they close, they close. Or if they allow after hours play, they communicate it clearly and treat walk in customers with basic respect. If you’re new, or just stopping by to browse and buy, be warned. This place seems far more interested in letting the regs hang out for hours than welcoming or valuing new paying customers. Plenty of other shops in the area that understand how retail works. I’ll be spending my money at those instead.
