Being new to the area I took the recommendation of a couple of people and went to Scottsboro Gun & Pawn. I knew walking in the door exactly what I wanted and was surprised to find the weapon and ammo were in stock. I say surprised because every where else I checked to include online was sold out. I am very pleased with my experience today and glad I followed the recommendations.

Only buy from here if you enjoy being scammed. I Purchased a gun as a Christmas gift last year from this store and later found out I paid more than double it's worth. ( mind you the owner was adamant it was a great deal) I don't usually leave reviews let alone a bad one but I want to warn others. If you go into this shop make sure you know the value of whatever it is you intend to purchase before hand.

I was able to get good ammo prices. Probably won’t be buying any guns from here, A little overpriced. Staff seemed seemed alright. Not the friendliest environment. My experience here was neither bad or good.

The man that runs this place does not want to sell guns to females. Look at the other reviews. I've heard this from people in town. And now I experienced it for myself. I went to purchase 3 shotguns for my sons as Xmas presents. Was completely ignored by the the owner and the other eight gentlemen that were having breakfast at the counter. Found only one gun I liked at his shop, as his selection is minimal. Filled out paperwork and was told I had a delay for 6 days. I have purchase several guns and have only been delayed for a few hours once on a purchase of an AR during the Obama administration and once on a pawn pick up during covid. Every time and in every other store I still paid for the gun and they called later the same day after the hold was released to tell me to come pick it up. This man would not take my money to hold the gun. Took my number and told me he would call as soon as I was approved. I was confused but was ok with waiting. I left and immediately went down the road to Byrd's pawn shop. Huge selection, and very friendly and helpful. Found 2 guns and filled out the exact same paperwork and there was no hold. Hmmmm. How odd. I would even think it would cause more of a delay for me to apply twice in the same hour at two different places. I still decided to give the benefit of the doubt and keep waiting bc he told me he would call. I told him I would be right there as soon as he did. Now here I am..8 days later..still no call of approval from the man at Scottsboro Pawn. This man did not want to do business with me. I will never go there again. Go to Byrd's. They have 10x the selection anyway. Great prices. I should've went there first. Live and learn.
