Was recommended to go here to sell estate jewelry. I've gone to Mobile Bay Coins & Fine Jewelry before and they've been personable and lovely to work with and given me fair spot value for all the jewelry I've brought in (and it's been a SIGNIFICANT amount so far). Going to Loop Coin and Jewelry was awful! While I was standing at the counter as the man was going through all the jewelry, he looked like he wanted to be ANYWHERE else except helping me. Rather than accept all the maker's marks on everything for the quality (10k vs. 14k etc.) for the gold, he had to scratch and chemically test every single piece as if I was trying to deceive him in some manner. When he told me what he'd give me for it... I instantly knew this place was a complete rip off. I know the spot price of gold (and silver). I check it EVERY day. He tried to give me some song and dance about refining costs blah blah blah and they weren't going to make money blah blah blah. Reading the reviews here, I see the shop is giving that same canned answer to other people who went in to sell gold and silver. I politely thanked him, took my stuff, left, and went straight to Mobile Bay Coins & Fine Jewelry where they were glad to see me again! I had a lovely time geeking out about Star Wars and Star Trek with the staff while they went through everything (without chemically testing every single piece), and when all was said and done... Got $1000 more than what Loop Coin and Jewelry offered me!! Loop Coin and Jewelry is a total rip off and they will try to make all sorts of excuses why they can't give you proper spot value for gold and silver while attempting to gull you with offers of cash right there. Do NOT go here. Rude and dishonest!

I recently worked with Frank and his Team to help my mother in law liquidate her estate coin collection. Frank did an excellent job appraising the coins and provided me with a detailed list of the items. His pricing was very fair and I felt that Frank was honest and very trustworthy. I would highly recommend Loop Coin. If you are looking for a top notch group of numismatists, this is the place to go.

First, the young man who handled my mother's transaction, Josh,was very knowledgeable and so nice and helpful! He had a great personality and gladly answered all our questions. Second, the store itself is beautifully done and gave us a great feeling as soon as we stepped in. My elderly mother had old coins and paper money and one old pocket watch to sell and she came away very, very happy with what she was paid. I plan to return myself to have a closer look at their beautiful jewelry section! I highly recommend Loop Coin and Jewelry! 11/09/22

Incredible shop. Great jewelry selection. Frank was great to work with. I'd highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality pieces.

20 under spot for physical metal is robbery in this market... pricing to Comex paper price has no correlation to the current physical metal price.

Took some silver bars in and was offered $20 below spot. Will not go back. I could see a couple dollars under but not $20. If you are trying to sell gold/silver I would not recommend Loop.

Beautiful shop with a large selection of coins and jewelry. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have very fair pricing. They were super patient allowing my son to look through several boxes of coins from the back. Thanks for a great experience! We will stop back in next time we are in town.
