A dear friend of mine, who is also a dealer at Hoover Antique Gallery, introduced me to this superb store which has a great collection of some of the most gorgeous antique pieces I have seen in a while. These are larger and smaller pieces that would be great for any room or design style. Another extremely good attribute of the Hoover Gallery is the use of new furnishings as well. Upholstered sofas and chairs, dining tables and other decorative pieces balance the old with the new. In my review, I give this shopping experience a ten out of ten. I even purchased an amazing antique, Edwardian Style bench, with a cut glass piece to function as a coffee table. The most remarkable thing, besides the gorgeous beauty of the piece, was the price. For under 100.00 I acquired the piece which fits perfectly in my den. I am attaching a few photos of the piece for your viewing. Enjoy!! Kudos, Robby Duty

We have frequently visited this store with our grandbaby and our special needs child, and we have purchased several beautiful furniture pieces here. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, we had a very disappointing experience with one of the vendors whose furniture is displayed at the front of the store. One of the people asked our son to get off the couch. He immediately complied and did nothing wrong. He did not damage anything or disturb the area in any way. Our son has autism and cannot read, but he always tries very hard to follow rules and do the right thing. Instead of showing patience or understanding, the interaction felt rude and accusatory, which was upsetting for both him and our family. A calm, respectful request directed to the adults, with an understanding tone, would have handled the situation appropriately. Families with special needs children deserve compassion, especially when no harm was done. We have always enjoyed shopping here, but this experience has changed how we feel about visiting in the future.
