Rebecca is the sweetest! The entire staff from Mitch to Steven everyone is so helpful. But Becky is our bestie it’s the smile and the warm friendly welcome
Unlike any Pawn Shop I've ever dealt with. The Shop Manager Steven & the Owner Mitch really will work with you. Mitch even let me charge up my Battery on my Car. Shop Manager Steven even gave my Service Dog 🐕🦺 some Water. It's good to be treated right when you're down & out
Disappointing experience at this particular location. Employee made prejudice comments and assumptions about certain members of the community based on their race to one of their customers. Unacceptable. Customers of all backgrounds should have the right to shop here without being judge purely on racial stereotypes. Do better.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Golden Pond is truly a hidden gem! This shop has just about anything you could need. Mitch, in particular, was an outstanding salesperson—friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure I found exactly what I was looking for. He really made my bargaining and shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re in Birmingham and looking for a place where you can get just about anything, at a a great price, I highly recommend checking out Golden Pond and asking for Mitch.
If I could give a negative star I would, they are very particular on showing good customer service depending on your race! I never in my life went to a pawn shop and got treated that way. They will try they best to rip you off as well offering you wayyy less than what the merchandise is actually worth! I advise anyone to not go there looking for the best bang for your buck! There are plenty of other pawnshops around the area that you can go to that will give you the amount on what your item is worth! I can’t believe that they are acting like that with a very good pawnshop down the street from them which is “quik pawn” I advise you to go there instead of that races place they call “Golden pawn! “ If you still decide to go there, don’t say I didn’t warn you. They barely had anything that’s worth buying anyways. They’ve had some of the same stuff in there for years! It’s really a junk store if you ask me! They don’t even deserve 1 start!
