I've been purchasing from this location for a few years now. Customer service is always a priority, they wanna insure that you are satisfied with what you are looking for. Also they off a Christmas and normal layaway for easier buying.

Customer service was bare minimum at best, tested my ring in another room where I couldn’t see what they were doing offered me 275 on a 10kt white gold wedding set with diamonds that weighed 4.2 grams and a 14kt yellow gold figaro necklace that weighed 9.2 grams, place was dark and gloomy inside, most of the TVs were off, all of the laptops were off, no music playing, looked like a dungeon, took my gold to Capitol Pawn down the road, They gave me a much better offer, go see Ryan.

I had a terrible experience here awhile back but I believe it is still run by the same guy. I must’ve had the wrong phone number or spoken to someone who had quit about a specific bass guitar I had seen in the store for quite awhile. I asked for a quote over the phone and I believe the man I spoke to quoted about 120 dollars. I had no idea what brand the bass was at the time but I specifically asked about the one missing all but one string and they knew which one I was talking about on the phone so I thought it was the correct place. I went to go get it and the guy working was going to sell it to me because I said I had the quote from over the phone, but then who I assume must be the owner came out and berated him and called me a liar and said something to the effect of “You can’t just believe anyone who says they got a quote”. It was really odd and offensive, as I assume it was a misunderstanding, but he basically berated the guy working and me and then I just left without it. That bass had been sitting in that store since I moved to Mobile in 2017-2018 and I went to buy it in 2022. This was quite awhile ago but I used to look around here a lot and would’ve paid more for the bass or left and came back with more money if the price was too high if he had told me that the price I had was incorrect instead of berating the employee and then me. I probably called the wrong Eddies that also happened to have a bass matching that description, but he immediately assumed and directly called me a liar instead of making me a counter offer or just telling me the quote was wrong. I believe he said it’s worth was about 600-700 dollars while I was on the way out but its bad condition and age made it worth maybe half that, at the most. I just liked that specific one. Will definitely never come back here due to how I was treated. I wouldn’t have been angry if he’d just said the quote was wrong and it was actually priced at 600-700, I would’ve just left and came back when/if I was ready to pay that much. There’s hundreds of better pawn shops in Mobile. I bet it’s either still there, or sat there for another two years.

Worst place to go. You’re not greeted by employees. Both the man and woman seem miserable with life. Not even a smile on their face and very rude
