I think the lady here has some type of psychiatric Illness or at minimum a personality disorder. My husband and kids were in the store next door and I was waiting outside for them because it was so crowded. The owner of the store came out and told me I needed to move off the sidewalk because I was blocking her window. I was there for 60 seconds! I tried to take the high road and just not engage with crazy but she started yelling at me “do you want to pay my rent”? “Do you know how much my rent is?”. I am a well groomed, well dressed cruise ship passenger. I was waiting outside of her store for less than a minute. I am still a little stunned at the whole interaction. She probably could have engaged me in another manner and I would have bought something!
After looking for the quality for the best price on Alexandrite ring for my wife I went to The Red Lady and not only found the best selection, but the most in depth knowledgeable people in the business. I bought the ring she liked. They were prompt to get it sized. I got a certificate with it which I took to my local jeweler to verify and my jeweler appraised for more than the certicate I got from them. I'm very happy with my purchase and with the staff at The Red Lady. I highly recommend this Jewelry store.
So I was looking for a souvenir, not jewelry. Typical cruise family. As we walked in with 2 kids, we damaged some thingy as it fell. The store folks were so friendly, said no problem, didn't charge us or anything. This was so refreshing, that after walking through all the stores, we came back and bought our two souvenirs from Juneau at this store.
Super nice staff. Very helpful with getting our nugget necklace. Good place to visit when looking for some collectable jewelry.
My very high maintenance grandmother was looking for an ammolite ring to go with earrings and a pendant she already had. She went around the entire shop trying on about 20 pieces - Alex was very helpful and patient with her. So my sister brought me in later to look at charms, and the other staff were very helpful as well. They gave us a good deal and were very knowledgeable, as well as personable. Skip the cruise-ship-paid-in mega jewellery stores and head to The Red Lady!
