I’ve never had a business owner treat me with such disrespect, take your business elsewhere where it’s appreciated. This guy was over the top rude.

I am so grateful that I found Olga's! I originally went to Fred Myer to have my ring sized up and they charged me $350.00, and they sized my finger there and it was way too big, almost a whole size. When I picked up my ring it fell right off my finger, then Fred Myer wanted to charge me $180.00 to size it again, however I thought they should of sized my finger correctly. The women that helped me at Fred Myer were rude and I would never go back there. I went to Olgas hoping they could size my finger correctly and the older gentleman that was there did just that! He spent time making sure I got the right size, he was honest and knowledgeable. I also liked that Olgas does the work right in their shop while Fred Myer sends theirs out. I got my ring back yesterday from Olgas and I am absolutely impressed with how wonderful it looked and how perfect it fit. He charged me half the price. I would definitely used them again, I am so glad that I found them, I just wish I went to Olgas first!

I had to have a stone replaced in my ring and he was very friendly and had it done nearly a week sooner than he'd estimated

I have a watch valued at 9,700 dollars according to the new owners brother. I received my watch from my father. When I brought it to the previous owner, the current owners brother, he was excited to work on it. That’s a craftsmen. A man excited about his craft. I brought said watch in a few months ago for service and was told it was a battery. Battery changed by the original gentleman’s brother who I suppose took over the shop. Everything worked great. When I went to put it on this morning, not long after the battery was changed, it wasn’t working. That’s ok. It’s an old watch and I understand it can be anything. I brought it in to the new owner who recently serviced my watch and showed him it wasn’t working, along with the seal being exposed on the back. Again, no big deal. A craftsman accepts responsibility without excuses. Especially for a LITERAL 15 second job. However, I was met with “so you had this watch serviced somewhere else?” My reply was “no, why would I do that when it was just serviced by you?” I was met with an argument and I admit I got a little hot. I don’t think it was a big deal. You work on 1000 watches, one seal isn’t right, who cares? It’s an honest mistake. And I rarely wear the watch so it isn’t exposed to weather or anything else. But one he was not willing to accept. I have decided to pick up my watch and drive to anchorage and let David’s Jewelers take care of the issue. I’m saddened by the fact that our local goldsmith is a krumudgeon. Especially after his brother was so kind and willing. I would have thought Olga’s would have remained the same with a sibling switch. But I would have been very wrong. I hope others recent experiences are different than mine. But I’d bet they aren’t.

I have shopped here before and I thought the customer service was good. A few days ago my son went into Olga’s to ask for a donation for his high school team and the owner was EXTREMELY RUDE! He told my son why should he support the Kenai High school when they are a bunch of losers!!! My son tried explaining and the guy interrupted and continued to be even more rude telling him he was probably no good at his position!!! I will NOT be spending money there again!! Horrible community participation from Olga’s!!!!!!!! If you don’t want to sponsor just politely say no thank you!!!!!!!!

I went in to pick up some jewelry for my friend and he was extremely rude and off putting, a stuck-up, old man. He shouldn’t be in a business where you’re dealing with people face to face if you have no customer service skills. I will not be coming back, take your money elsewhere and put him in assisted living.
