This mall is walking distance from my home and is a great place for our young family we can walk over for dinner, shopping, or just let our kids expel some energy! Love all the new and old shops and really enjoy the craft markets and events.
The Mendenhall Mall came under new ownership in 2020. The mall has been completely revitalized and is a great community shopping center again. The mall boasts of a variety of retail shops and a good selection of eateries. Unfortunately, old reviews from years prior to the current management, still count toward ratings. I personally did not darken the doors to this establishment for many years because it was so run down. It is refreshing to see so much progress! Hopefully this will just get even better as independent businesses navigate post pandemic retail landscape! The Mendenhall Mall is likened to Main Street, inside and out of the weather!
For the most part I love how clean and bright the building is. What I don’t like is how it lacks having business in there. But then again, that’s not the malls responsibility. It seems nobody wants to start a business anymore because everybody shops online. I would love it if we would have more diverse restaurants and bring back community. But the mall itself is amazing.
One of the most amazing places I have ever laid my eyes on.. a one of a kind experience and I will never forget..if you ever make it to Juneau alasak this is a must see!!!!
What a great little mall I Juneau. Pretty much everything you need. I love the pottery shop where you can paint your own pieces. Nice warm place to walk around for a few hours.
