Julie's is the only long time local jeweler in Ketchikan. I would recommend stopping here first if you are interested in buying jewelry.

They have two locations in Ketchikan and Julie is just awesome. This is where you go to buy real jewelry and not imitation stones. The gold quartz gems are genuine as is the amolite and NOT the gold infuses stuff or the amolite found in a river bed. They guarantee all their jewelry and are fantastic to deal with. No pressure to buy at all unlike some of the other stores. Ketchikan is one of the nicest towns that you will visit.

Five years ago I loved a ring but couldn't afford it at the time. Returned to Ketchikan this month after communicating with Jay Ellis (jeweler) about my desires. He made me the most beautiful ring at a super discounted price. My wife loved pendants and we bought her one, too -- again, great price for absolutely beautiful pieces. Really great people, beautiful jewelry.

i stopped by at about 10am - having to leave on the ferry at 2pm. i had a soldered wedding set i wanted separated, and a new band i wanted soldered to the engagement ring. Jay was awesome - he said he would do it that day since i was leaving. i expected it to take days and was willing to pay to have it sent on Island Air. also, one of the rings was 10k gold and the other 14k. he even rhodium dipped them so they were closer in color on the surface. really exceeded my expectations and i’m so so happy with it. thank you, Jay!!!

More like a museum than a store. Absolutely the most special, quality gifts you'll find anywhere. Julie is wonderful and no pressure to buy, although we did buy a small gift.
